About Our Ministry

Our Mission

We are a group of people desiring to assist with spiritual support and medical care to already existing Christ-led ministries, specifically to children in schools, orphanages and churches We are continuing the work of Jesus Christ and other missionaries that have gone before us....and that will go on long after our teams have gone. We are striving to have a simple ministry that is focused on a growing relationship with Jesus Christ - both in us and those to whom we minister.

Our Leadership

I was saved at the age of 9 years old.  When I was 15 years old I felt the call of God on my life for missions.  At that time I only thought of missions as a missionary going overseas to work and didn’t see any other aspect of how missions could work or how God might use me.

Due to many circumstances and some unwise choices my plan for missions was way-laid.  However, God wasn’t surprised by the delay…He was preparing me for the day that was HIS will for my missionary life would begin.
Over years of discipleship and Bible study as well as becoming a nurse, a mother, a wife and a teacher God was preparing me for His plan.

In 2003 I began to take short term mission trips.  I went to Ecuador 2 times but after going to Haiti, I knew that Haiti was where God wanted me to go.  I began to plan and organize and lead teams to Haiti with the assistance of my church.  Then in 2007 God led me to start Oaks of Righteousness.  I said, “God, I don’t know how to do this, I don’t have any time or money to do this…”  God told me in my prayer…that is correct, I don’t want you to do it; I want you to allow me to do this.

So in 2007 Oaks began.  We have been on 3-4 mission trips per year and taken from 5 people to 16 people per team and ages 14-75.  It has been such a wonderful ministry and a walk of faith and dependence on God that I wouldn’t trade for anything.

Looking back to age 15 I would never had thought of how God would use me in missions in this way but He had a plan and when all the rough edges and sharp areas and self dependence and self absorption were under His control he orchestrated his plan for my life.  God is so good.

Ministry Profile

The name of our ministry comes from the passage in Isaiah 61:3 "They shall be called oaks of righteousness for the display of His splendor." "Planted" in 2007, we still marvel at the display of His splendor to this day! We are a 501.c.3 organization and work with several partners:
